{Sharing Time} The scriptures are the word of God

Reactions:

I love in the outline choosing favorite scripture stories from the different books. So I've made matching halves for a bunch of different stories. You can print whatever ones you'd like. The halves are about 8x10 so it's big enough for all to see. You can either put one half on the board and hide the other halves or put the others under random chairs. Then once a match has been made then you can talk about the story associated with the picture.

On the board, write "The Scriptures are _______________" and ask the kids, write their responses on the board. After they've answered fill in the blank with "the word of God".

There are many wonderful stories throughout the scriptures. Can you name the 4 books of scripture that we read? (The Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price) these are called the standard words. Today we are going to learn about some of the stories from these precious books of scripture. (Hang up the halves that you are using - hide the other halves before Primary so that the kids don't know where they are)

Here are the pictures I've used:

Old Testament
Abraham and Isaac
Adam and Eve
Daniel
Jonah
Moses Parts Red Sea
Noah

New Testament
Jesus Calls His Apostles
Jesus was Baptized
Jesus Heals Jairus' Daughter
Gethsemane

    1. I print them at a print shop there's nothing that beats that quality and then laminate them so I can reuse them either for my own boys or for another lesson/sharing time.

    2. Thanks, I took them to Staples and had them printed double size or 17x22. I should have had them laminated, if they survive through today I will do that.
